Karmafan is based on the idea that artists and creatives can get real support from people who enjoy their work. It's a new form of patronage

"Patronage" may make you think of a rich benefactor, but the Internet means that every fan can play a part in supporting the work of artists they like.

It's incredibly easy for artists and other creatives to distribute their work online. It will even distribute itself beyond their control, as musicians have been finding out over the last several years.

What we want to do is strengthen the connection between the creator of a work and the fan who ultimately enjoys it, wherever they may be.
